Default Map sensor

I got a check engine light this morning and pulled a code 22 for the MAP sensor. I called Ford and its $218 for the factory part. I don't really care to spend that much when the same BWD part is $64. Is there that much of a difference in the two? Anyone have any experience with either part?

clear the codes and unhook the battery and try it again...even a faulty ground can trip the code...clean all the grounds and terminals before you replace parts

when my map sensor was bad, my truck didnt want to start and it jolted while idling . my light never came on . but if the light says its bad and you tired to reset it by disconnecting the battery and the lights still on . the bwd will work great . i put that brand in my truck not a difference .

I figured it wasn't a faulty connection, the truck would surge from around 300rpm to 1000rpm and I had replaced the MAP sensor with a BWD one just ver a year ago so I was leery of it being a bad brand. However I don't plan on keeping this truck as my daily driver for more than a year so i went with the BWD sensor. Saved a good amount of money and fixed the problem
