Default LS Differential

Can you ID if the dif is LS or not by the door jam sticker or do you need all the numbers from the metal tag from the dif cover. My cover is 10 bolt if that means anything.

Was thinking of looking for a LS one from a salvage yard but would like y'alls input first.

Truck is a 94 f-150 with AT and 302 V-8.

Thanks

Alan

Look at your door code, if it's got a letter in it it's gonna be LS. Common ones were H8 and H9 which were 3.08LS and 3.55LS, respectively

on the rear diff tag it will be like a 3L55 that would be 355 limited slip.

they replace the ( . ) with an L if the axle is a LS

and the axle your looking for is a 8.8 rear axle
easy to identify from the two "dimples" on the bottom of the housing.
