I`ve had a issue for a couple weeks now,I have a low idle sometimes,the longer it idles the worse it gets,slight hesitation on throttle,rest of rpm,it runs grat,no break up at any speed,only idle,check tps and thought maybe it was low so I replaced it and set it and revarified at.999 volts,nocked down battery and started and let run till warm up,then it ran great for a while and started acting up again,changed iac,did relearn and now its better,but still doing it,idle will hold steady for a while,then drops to about 500,then hunts,fuel pressure steady at 32,then goes up with vacuum removed,vacuum is steady at 21, I`m thinking now it must be computer,any ideas? Oh yea its a 95 flareside 4x4 with a 5.8.

 

Couple things. TPS should be .9. Some people will set it to .96 but that's pushing it pretty far. .99 is way too far.
32 is really low fuel pressure even with the regulator open (which happens at idle). If it goes below 30, the truck won't run at all.
Adjust the tps and try changing the filter and see where you're at then.

 

thanks for your reply,I understood fuel pressure should be around 30-32 and jump to 40 with pressure regulater disconnected,even thought manual says 35,it does have a new fuel filter,I noticed when setting tps that even though I had it set at 999,after the relearn,it only reads about .986.all driveability is great after it gets going,does this sound normal,have no miss throughtout driving range.will reset tps tommorrow...thanks and any info is greatly appreciated...
