Default Looking For Opinions

I already have a lifted 06 ranger that I use as a DD, but looking for something that I can build bigger and stronger and just looking for some opinions. I haven't really decided if it should be a 7,8, or 9th gen but what would you guys recommend to build big. For instance which motor, tranny, axle combo etc. I know my way around the Fords just was looking for some input from you guys. thanks, Zach.

I agree 9th generation is, in my opinion, the best looking one and look sweet lifted! Go for the 351 though.

Like jonah said, best looking, A descent truck around $1-4000, depends on mileage and cond, I like long beds I haul stuff alot and the xcab keeps all the crap out of the front seat. Craigslist or Autotraded is best thats where I found my trucks.
