Lock out hub

Default Lock out hub

my lock out hubs have new bearings but the hubs won't lock. is the the hub just bad itself?

Pull them off, make sure they work, they should operate even off the hub, make sure the inner spline lock is moving, or you have the gear that goes on the hub on backwards, there is a shoulder, turn it around put back together and see if it locks.

I agree with dirtcrew51m ^.

The exploded view in many of the hub illustrations have one gear turned backwards.
Take it apart and install the one gear the opposite of the exploded view illustration.

I found this out the hard-way 30 years ago!
