a little help please
I have a 92 f150 ex cab 5.0 with 133k and auto trans. I have one problem and one question. First off my question, I just got. Set of nice valve covers and was woundering if I had to take the intake off to do this?
And onto my problem, every once and a while I will pop my Hood and find my upper radiator hose collapsed. It seems weird since it always full almost to the top with fluid and its new fluid. The temp gauge will go up to between the "R" and "M" in normal or go back down to the NO. Just need a little help thanks.
And while I'm on here what mustang's motor parts will fit on this thing? I'm trying to make it sort of a sleeper, so far I have ngk plugs, accell super stock 8mm wires street fire coil from mad and accell cap and rotor for a 5.0 stang

Upper intake will need to come off to change the passenger side valve cover.
Sounds like you're due for new upper/lower radiator hoses.
A lot of the mustang stuff will interchange, but remember that the 5.0 motors in the mustangs are built for high rpm power in a light weight car. The 5.0 motors in the trucks are built for low rpm torque in a heavy truck. Most if not all of the aftermarket intakes and such for mustangs will actually make your truck perform worse.
If you upgrade the MAP system in your truck to the MAF system that newer trucks have, you'll be able to play around with some aftermarket cams, more airflow in and out, etc., and you'll notice some power gains.
