On the reviews link for that item, one person did say they had to drill 2 holes in the bumper. The bottom mounts where the bumper mounts to the frame, the upper part needs the holes to be drilled.

I had one like that on my 91 bronco and I had to drill two holes on the top of my bumper to bolt the top too. Not a big deal tho, it made it way more solid.

I'll be back home on new years eve, so I'll be calling him when I get home then. If he's still got it I'll be going to look at it on sunday if he's available. There's so few bars for my year truck, it's really annoying
