^they make gutter mount light bars. Just put your antennas on your bed rails. Drill a small hole right at each side, like whips, if thats what you wanna run.

I am aware of both options. Neither will work well for me.

I make my own antennas and have designed several antenna mounts that I then have machined from aluminum. Antenna mount plates too. I usually have have those laser cut from 12 gauge Stainless Steel. Not cheap, but indestructible.

A rack, like the one pictured would work great for antennas because the raise the antenna above the cab. Gutter mount roof racks look bad, require holes for wires unless you redneck something going up the back or sides of the cab, and are hard on paint. They are also not strong enough to support a 10 foot long, 30 pound antenna, like this one:





The rack the OP made is perfect for those very reasons. No contact with the cab, high antenna mount, and all the wires can be hidden.

I think I'll have one made.
