Default lifting troubles

hi I'm about to attempt to lift my 1990 f150 custom 6 inline by installing a 3 inch body lift that i recently bought from performance accessories. my main concern is how i am going to extend my steering column. the kit came with a small rod about 3 inches long but i don't see how my current (i think stock) steering shaft would accommodate this. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Under your dash there's a joint in the steering rod. Take the one bolt out and put the new joint in. Then connect the rest of the rod to the other end of the new joint.

dont forget about your lower radiator hose, it is going to hit the engine.

It is under ur hood on the steering shaft not under the dash..
Be sure to check all clearances including radiator shroud cause I had to trim the lower portion due to mine sagging for some reason after the bl when it was on it..
