Default lifter noise

Just installed a new remanufactured engine. 1994 F150 302. engine runs smooth no miss. just a pretty loud lifter tick. new manifolds with no leaks. New oil sending unit , oil pressure is good. Not sure how to proceed.
Thanks !

I guess the first thing would to be to verify which or how many lifters are loose. If it's a brand new install afaik the lifters should to be checked/retightened after running for a bit. Did the new engine have a roller cam installed? A flat tappet cam can have the lobes wiped if it's not broke in properly.

Thanks SaltEater for the reply. Yes it is a roller cam. I have spoken with the manufacturer. They gave the go ahead to replace all lifters at their expense including
all parts and labor. It's a hassle but at least they are willing to pony up to make it right.
