Default lift kit

Hey everyone,
Could one of you veterans tell me if there is any topic on here that talks about the procedure to do a suspension lift for my truck. I would like to go 4 inches. Also with that , what size tire could i go without any problems? Im fairly ok with tools but not great, with no experience doing this would you recommend finding someone to do it ? Or with some instruction could i do it myself? What kind of cost would i be looking at for parts and labor if i had someone do it?
Thanks in advance

I know offhand that there's a ton of stuff on TTB Rangers and Bronco II's. I imagine there's something to be learned reading up on them.

If you're not pretty mechanical I don't know if I'd try it. I'm pretty mechanically minded and I had someone else install mine, because doing the front end looks like a pita. But I have a 4" lift on mine and I have 33" inch buckshot mudders on it now. This looks good in the front, but the back still looks a little too open in the fender well. By the look of mine you could fit 35's with no problem and thats what I'd do if I could do it again. I checked a few tire fitment guides, and they say with a 3" lift you can fit 33's and 6" you can fit 35's but I've seen people put 35's on stock 4x4 f150s with only a little rubbing. The charts probably just want you to play it safe.

lots of info in the off roading section. everything from a body lift to a long travel suspension is discussed there. costs start around a couple hundred and some are upwards of 6k, just depends on what you want your lift to do.
