Default Level/lift help

Hey guys I'm looking at doing a level kit or a small lift and was wondering if I get heavy duty shocks or f250 shocks will it level it at all? Also what is the oem block size for a 95 4x4? What's the best way for me to science this? I have some possible gabriel spring shocks set up but I need some help! Thanks!

Shocks? No. Coils, yes, about 2, 2 1/2 inches. I got mine from Bronco Graveyard, but then the camber adjustment things will need some tweaking or your tires will be canted out at the top. That's the problem I have because my camber adjustment things are so rusted they can't be adjusted and I don't want to spend the 200 and something for a new hub assembly (I was told I'd need to replace the whole thing if I replaced anything).

The coils hold it up and let it bounce, the shocks prevent the bounce from getting out of hand and yo-yoing (at least from my research). But I'm also interested in whether or not you need new shocks when you add leveling springs...

General rule is that you can go 2" either way with stock shock size. Any more than that, you need to replace shocks with the right length.

If you raise/lower the front of these trucks (or even pee on the front tire), you'll need an alignment. And these are not the bargain barn $60 alignments - they use some oddball "adjustment eccentrics" (basically a wedge) and alignment could end up being closer to $200.

The stock shocks could work but they're a lot more likely to max out at the top if you go off road or hit a bump which could do some damage under there. But if it's just a street driver, I wouldn't do new shocks for anything under 3" unless they already need replaced. Just wait until they go then get some for the right size. I changed shocks just because they needed going.
