When LED lamps are installed in the stock housing is the dividing line supposed to be vertical or horizontal?

 

The high part goes on your side of the road; the low side goes toward oncoming traffic; the step belongs on the left lane-dividing line. When adjusting one headlight, block the other so the patterns don't blend.
