you could chase this problem all day. the best and easiest thing to do is go to your local auto parts store and rent a coolant pressure tester. pump it up to 13 to 15 lbs pressure and start looking for the leak.

Assuming there's no water in the oil, I'd be checking spark plugs as well. An intake leak internal to the engine is a possibility as well.

+1 on the pressure checker, however.

How about your exhaust? Any white smoke at all, or does it smell sweet? Like stated above, get yourself a pressure tester and save yourself lots of time.

Default water leak

Is the water usage slow ? a small leak will quickly evaporate on the engine and down low will scatter from the fan and also evap. I like to be patient and look allot and often .
also look at the radiator necks feel under the hoses . my 2 cents worth .

See if your passenger side floorboard is damp. If it is, then your heater core is leaking and needs replaced.

ill try the pressure thing tomorrow. its got to be a small leak. no white smoke coming out of the exhaust. its so small i cant find it. When i brought my truck in to the ford dealer for the cruise control recal they said there is a small leak. i noticed it myself because i filled up the resavor and its almost empty again .
