Default Leaf spring Q

Im replacing the bushings in the front and rear of my leaf spring eyelets and after pressing one of them out I noticed there is a metal sleeve around the inside of the leaf eyelet. Does the have to come out too or is that there to keep the bushing in a round shape? I don't have the new bushings yet so I can't size it up.

I'm not talking about the ones that go inside the bushing. They go around the inside of the eyelet and basically sit on the outside of the bushing. I'll post a pic quick.

If the new bushings are poly you dont need them. And they are hard to get out. On mine i used a sawzall and cut them throung the gap thats in the spring eylet and then tapped them out with a hammer and punch.
