Leaf Spring To Frame
I Own A 95 F150 Xlt.im Not Sure Of The Name Of The Bracket That Connects The Leaf Spring To The Frame.it Has Broken.i Have Looked For This Part Online And Did Not See It.is This Fixable

is it welded to the frame, or bolted on.

If it's like my 93 Lightning then they are rivets. Drill out a 3/16" hole in the middle of the rivet, then a 1/4" hole, then use a chisel to cut the head off, then punch it out the other side. Drill at a slow speed, use cutting oil, push hard, or use high rpm and a dry bit....and use about 3 bits for each rivet. BTDT
I took of my brackets to install a lowering kit (sorry I threw out the old ones). Moog sells new front radius arm brackets, maybe they sell rear ones. Or see if someone with a lowering kit will give you thier old bracket. I am talking about the front braket, the rear hanger is similar, IIRC |
