Default Leaf spring

Im replacing the rear passide leaf hanger vi noticed it was broke yesterday and i got a new one with the truck. I got the old one off and the part that bolts to the frame is on but idk how to get the spring back down to bolt it to the bracket. I tried jacking the back of the frame but the springs just keep going up. Idk what to do to get it back into place

It helps if the suspension is hanging, then gets lowered into place. On my hoist I had both back wheels off the ground and used a tall jack stand to support the weight of the axle on either side to relive tension and bolt it back into place.

Get the stock ford jack , turn it upside down and put it between the frame and axle. Jack the axle down.
