KOEO Engine code 67?
Hey all
I've got a 1987 f-150 with the 5.0 in it. I tested for codes today because I'm fairly certain my CEL doesn't work and whaddoyaknow, I got a couple. Key on, Engine off code 67, which my Haynes manual says Neutral Drive Switch Circuit Open? Would this mean my Neutral Safety Switch is out or something else? And how would I go about fixing it?
I also got a continuous code of EGR Valve Opening not detected but I'm not as concerned about that one.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a ton

Engines are easier to diagnose over the internet when all the codes are listed, and in order of test.
KOEO - (O) Self-Test Codes =
KOEO - (C) Continuous Codes =
KOER - (R) Self-Test Codes =
Make sure you A/C, Heat, Radio, etc. are turned off when testing.

Yes, check your NDS - Neutral Drive Switch, it may be stuck in the open position.
Check the wires to it, if they are ok (electrical check), replace the switch.

You only have an "Emission Warning Indicator"
"CEL", or "Check Engine Warning Indicator" was not added until 1988.
