It was just running fine!
Long story short, I went for a drive today, a couple hours later I return home (it was now dark as well). Start up the truck and have some problems.
-start up the truck and notice the ABS light is on
-take off ebrake, the light stays on saying its activated
-turn on the radio and it doesnt work, no power at all
-tried to turn on the heater, the blower motor is dead
-I turned on the head lights and the light up outside but no interior lights turned on
-speedo did not work, all other gauges seemed to work fine
I decided to shut it down and let it sit for a few then started it back up and had the same problems. I did this a total of 3 times and every time I had the same problems. I decided to try to drive it and see what happens.
Put it into reverse and it shifted SO hard I thought it was going to snap a u-joint! But it moved fine. I put it into drive and all seemed well in first gear, the trans shifted to auto and again shifted SO hard!! And then it was slipping really bad when I would give it any decent amount of gas, I had to just barley tap it to keep it in gear, then it shifted to 3rd and again it shifted so HARD but it did not slip at all. I did not get it going fast enough to get into 4th.
I decided to try shifting manually thought the gears, and when I did this is seemed to work normal (for the most part, as I didnt want to push my luck), but putting it into drive I had all the problems.
So I was able to limp it home. I shut it down and almost imminently I started it back up because I wanted to look under the hood with it running. First thing I noticed when I started it up was the radio was blasting, I checked out all other items I was having problems with and all were normal again, took it around the block and the trans was shifting was normal.
Whats the deal?? I was just starting to trust the truck and was getting more and more daring to actually leave the city with my old beater, and then this happens, it doesnt really give me confidence anymore
Anyone ran into anything like this before??

I have no idea what that could be. I know some people have had crazy issues when the ground wire wasn't clean and solidly connected. Just a thought. I'd also take it and have the computer scanned for codes to see if anything showed up.
I may have a bit of useful info for you.
The reason I bought an f150 a week ago is because my previous car, a 94 buick regal, shorted out on me. The guages would move on their own even when the key wasn't inserted, the transmission slipped (just had 100,000 miles on the car and the tranny never slipped, then suddenly it did) and i had to shift manually, the radio went on and off, the windows rolled up and down randomly, doors locked when they weren't supposed to...yeah, pretty much everything screwed up. finally, the fuel pump died and i sold it. the new owner replaced the fuel pump and it was indeed an electronic issue as the new one didn't work either.
i see it on the road a month later....it was the wiring in the steering column. oh well, i love my truck and i'm glad the buick crapped out on me. if it starts getting worse like it did to me, have that looked at, it's a start.
