Default jacking up my front end

jacking up my front end
hi i like to know how cant i jack the front end of my f150 [1996] today i did buy a 3 tons troley jack .now i was thinking at lifting one side at the time .
is this cant be done with out braking any thing .
all i like to do is lift it hight enuff to go under to change the oil in it.
i had a chev before and all was doing is put the jack under the center cross bar
but the f150 do not have a cross bar.just the 2 x bar .what ever you call that .
thank you

iv never jacked up my vehicle to change the oil so i cant help you there. my guess would be to just put it on the frame rail. but i suggest you just buy ramps or lift your truck

thank .this is what i was going to do in the fisrt place .buy a 2x10x8 cut in half and put them on a cement block and drive on them .
but i needed the jack any way .i am leaving for the north with my truck camper 800 klm away and a troley jack is way better in case you a flat tire.
after i post my thread i did go under the truck to see if i could do it with out lifting the truck .yes there is enuff room to take the nut off .the filter i guess i get it from the top .
thank again .

yea i could get it from the top, but its much easier from the bottom since its behind the power steering pump and below the header a little.

I got a stock ride height 91 2WD S-cab with 302 and I can get it from the top easily, even from underneath quite easily and I'm not a small guy either.
