Default intro and question

Hello all, glad I found this forum. Just got my truck back from my daughter who abused it for 3 years, I threw money at it after I got it back and now at least it runs right.

Had occasion to use the horn today, and no response! The owner's manual that had been with the truck is long gone, I can't find which fuse is for the horn. Fuse box under dash has no mention of "horn" and power distribution box under hood says "see owner's manual."

Help! Where do I find the fuse for the horn?

Thanks. I'll be enjoying a cigar while waiting for the answer.

1994 F-150 XL, 4.9L, 5-speed

If i am thinking correctly, the fuse box is on the drivers side near the air box. I have a horn that does not work and the relay is fine it's just that the guy before me jerry-rigged the ground wire. Another fun fix for me!

Thanks, but I know where the under hood power distribution box (fuse box) is, I just don't have the owners manual which lists what fuse is for the horn.

Not knowing the location of the fuse, you can either test for power at each side of every fuse, or make sure its a power issue not faulty horn or ground. Test for power at horn first. Then move on to other ideas.

Okay, now I know which fuse controls the horn on a '94 F150 XL. I bought an owner's manual on eBay and it arrived today. The answer is on page 363.
