Since last night the battery light in my truck began to flicker on and off. The alternator was replaced about a year ago, and the amp gauge in the truck is reading in the normal range. What else would be causing the battery light to come on intermittently??

 

If your connections are all clean & tight, you probably have internal diode on the ropes, lookin for a 10 count. An unhealthy battery will take out an alternator pretty quick, so have it load tested. Not just tested. Load tested! Test the alt's hot to ground when the lights on & off. You can have the alt. bench check too.
