Default Interior Light issue

When you open the drivers side door the interior light doesn't come on, but it does if you open the passenger side. The plunger button that turns the light on and off when the door is opened and closed looks good. Any thoughts on where to start with this?

My truck does the same thing I replaced the light bulb and it worked for a little while, but does the same as yours. Hoping to find out how to fix it.

I've got a 92 and mine had been intermittant for years.

I replaced the door jamb switch in the drivers side "B" pillar and fixed the problem.

Cost was $28 from NAPA and took about 1 minute to change out.

try to clean it. i used WD-40 up in there, and push it in and slide finger off to the side to let it pop out. like a minute or so of that and it works fine. maybe even pull it out to clean it.
