Default Interchangeability 80-96

Its no secret that ford used the basic
Same parts through 80-96. In my opinion those were the last years of REAL TRUCKS! Simple to work on and a design that was based off evolution not revolution. My truck is a 96 and now I changed the body to a 1980 and it was as simple as can be. Same frame same suspension almost everything was the same. Truly the best and last ford trucks. Fight me if you think I'm wrong or post some stuff about your swaps.

AMEN BROTHER!!! The key to finding the next project is a clean '80 - 95/6 frame. From there, use your imagination!!

True the EPA would flip haha but they don't understand trucks, and they want to take away the trucks that built America replace them with modern plastic made in china battery powered disposable junk.... I might be a redneck haha

The EPA has nothing to do with the plastic and thin sheet metal found on newer trucks. That is all economics. The '80s and 90's found the US as the most powerful and prosperous country in the world. Americans has more money to spend so more material went into the vehicles. That is where the older trucks shine. However the older engines can't come close to the performance and efficiency of the new engines. My ultimate truck would have a bit of old school style and durability with the performance and reliability of the latest engines. Of course there was a terrible time in the late 90's to about 2005 when it looked like the truck was going to die. Bodies were weak and engines were just as bad. But c'mon the Eco boost 6 cylinder with some 300+ HP and 25 mpg.
