My 1995 F-150 was Built in 7-1995,and I'm getting ready to swap my Cluster out for one with a Tach..And while I was looking for one I found a Seller on e-Bay that sells a lot of Clusters for our Trucks. And in his Auctions it says if your Truck in built on or after 6-1995 you Have to use a Cluster Dated 6-1995 or after, and up to the 1996's.And if your Truck was Built before 6-1995 you have to use a Cluster Dated before that, and back to 1994.So I asked him what the Date thing was all about, and he told me Ford changed some Circuits in the Clusters mid 1995.And while they all physically fit the same, because of the Circuitry differences they don't interchange. So I'm guessing some things on the Cluster work, other things might not read right,or even work at all.I don't know if this is True but when I change mine out I'm going to go this way just in case,I go by the Old Saying of,"I'd rather be safe than sorry"...

he was correct, ford changed the wiring in the cluster 2 or 3 times, i cant remember the year ranges but 95-97 is 1 of them i believe. i do know that my 96 and 97 are interchangeable, but the 92 is on its own.

Are you talking about the guy who is selling the cluster for 99 plus shipping? I talked to him to, he said that his cluster was the only one that would fit my truck, I asked him if that was the case, then a 96 and 97 should work too...never got a response. found a lot of 96 and 97 clusters for way cheaper than 99 bucks.

Yeah,I'm Pretty sure that's him because he has a few Clusters For Sale at $99.I know there is others that are Cheaper, but I'd rather Pay the extra to make sure I get the right one the first time....

The one I bought off Ebay for 35 bucks worked perfectly! Except for the mileage, I was hoping the computer on the truck stored the real mileage.

To keep your original Miles you have to change your Speedo over into the New Cluster,It's a pretty easy Swap.

Great, I thought I had figured this out and was getting ready to pull the trigger and buy a cluster and now I have to figure out what will work for a 95 with an 11/94 build date.

From what I understand, there were not any issues till late production 95, so any 94 or 95 cluster with tach should work. Mine was produced 8/95 and i bought a cluster advertised for 94 thru 96 and worked fine.
