Wow now there is some sound advice. Did you have the heads machined or no? If not put them back they way they were. But in the end its your truck and if you want to put some threaded plug things in there and run it go ahead.

Did you check the block decks with a true straight edge and make sure there was no warp to them? If so you should be fine running it the way it is. But im the type of person that does things correctly even if that means having to put in the extra time to do it correctly. So ill say this to you its your truck do you want it done half assed or correctly your choice we can't answer that question for you.

Ok kinda rude since i said it was machined. All im asking is if i plug the holes and if i don't swap back Will it be fine. Im ready to swap back of there Will be an issue but if there is no issues then i can leave it. Its just my daily to from work vehicle i don't do a whole lot of traveling with it since i only got 11mpg on the interstate before the headgasket went out. So it is confirmed the heads are interchangeable?

Some people are real nutcases. A flat surface is a flat surface. It's fine.

They don't sell left and right cylinder heads. They are identical.

Oreillys has different cast numbers for left and right cylinder heads. Plus i believe one of the valves was actually larger than the other. Im just going to swap them just to make sure. Better safe then sorry
