Okay, so I've been having an issue with my radio and power windows cutting out completely while driving. Discovered the other day that if I bump or hold the key forward while it's running (not enough to grind the starter) then they work again.

My question is, what part probably needs replacing? Is it the lock cylinder itself or the ignition switch? Haven't ever torn into a Ford column so this is all new to me.

Likely the ignition switch - however if you drop the column down you will notice there is some adjustment in the mounting position of the switch - you may be able to just move the swithc up or down a bit and get it to work.

Fixed it! Turns out it was the ignition switch...although the Master Pro one I put in first was defective...BWD for the win.
