Default Ignition Question

I was wondering if there was any advantage to running an MSD ignition of my F-150. What would be the pros and cons of doing this setup?

MSD allows for a "hotter" spark with copper plugs and upgraded wires, the best plan of action if you're wanting to go that route would be what's called the "6 liter tune-up", involves MSD ignition coil, a good set of wires, new copper/copper plugs, and advancing your timing. I would just start with 12* but others have gone 14*-16* without any problems-when you get too advanced you start getting a knock and would have to run 91 octane. Doing this allows for an earlier/hotter spark which burns more of the gas being sprayed into the combustion chamber, theoretically offering a bump to MPG as well as HP.

Thanks that good to know. Does anyone think going this route is a good idea?
