I had the same problem on my truck. My teeth inside where striped out. It caused my truck to complete shut off in the middle of a busy road. I ended up getting a complete steering column off ebay cheap. Only thing is it didn't come with a key. Real easy i just took it to a lock smith one Saturday and got a new key. and he threw in a whole new cylinder assembly too.
