Ignition and E4OD shifting
Well the parts have sat around long enough, so finally decided to change plugs and cap & rotor. ALL the plugs had over.100" gap. Pulled the cap and found huge amounts of corrosion on the coil wire connector and on the contacts inside. The connection on the coil was so corroded that an arc had eroded away about 1/4 of the contact.
Also had a check engine light that coded shift solenoid circuit failure and the tranny wasn't always acting right.
New plugs, wires, cap & rotor and coil. No more check engine light and the tranny seems to shift better. (Spent the extra bucks and got brass contacts cap & rotor.)
Hmm. Think my mileage will improve?
