Default Idle RPMs

Where should my idle RPMs be on a '95 f150 5.0? It's turning about 550 and has a tough time staying at it. Drops down real low and catches itself. And if it is low how Is that adjusted?
Thanks!

My 96 F150 5.8 idles around 600rpm, so I don't think 550rpm is a significant difference. As for the rpm drops, I am not sure what would cause that, probably a few things could affect it though.

550 is in range, but the hunting idle sounds like dirty idle air control valve. But it could also be a vacuum leak or you may just be in need of a tuneup.
