My first Ford truck was an I-6. A resurrected delivery truck. Got it at 150K miles. Sold it still running at 278K miles. Only engine work done was replacing a small shaft that drove the oil pump.

i don't have plans on making a mudding truck just a sick show stopper. mabye more like a prerunner would be my style fast off roading anyone can sling mud

pre runner sounds good to, another idea haha, I could just imagine driving a pre runner during the winter here in Alaska it would be fun haha.

i bet there are a few trails over here in Maine that would be awesome to go down one is right by a small lake then up a mountain beautiful views. and i do have to say my I6 is a beast crawling over some giant rocks in my way

Yeaaa the 429 kicks ***, and there pretty easy to find and build up. That's would be a great pre runner motor!

How about a 390? I've got one in an old ranger I could use. Would it even be a fit replacement for the I6.
