Unhappy Hot starts

Well in the begining of july my truck started acting funny. During long hot trips in 90F+ weather i set my cruise control to 70mph down the highway, but when i get to a stop light it feels like my engine is flooding.
It started acting even funnier about 3 weeks ago. When i try to start in hot weather it turns for like 10 seconds then it runs realy good, then i shut it off try it again and it starts the second i turn they key, you can even hear the starting motor scratch with the flex plate and it does this with both gas tanks. I mean the truck runs like a champ never overheats.

Ive check the codes and heres what i got p0141, p0401 and p0443.
Ive check my purge valve and has 38 ohms which ive read thats a good number. To me sounds like a fuel prob. Could my egr valve cause this?... or should i test other items before i buy this 80 dollar valve?... and what should i check for?.... BTW 96 f-150, 5.0l with maf, aode.

Well im not sure about the engine flooding, but are you running you're A/C all the time and while idling? it puts a huge load and crates a lot of heat making the engine run sloppy.

As for your starting issue, i think its because the starter is getting overheated, mine is doing the same right now.

Actually yes, i do run my A/C alot and with 100F+ days it probaly puts quite a load on the engine. How can i get the starter to stop over heating?... I dont want to replace my flex plate with chiped teeth because of a starter.

It could be one of 4 things 1, battery could be starting to get weak or a bad cell in it 2, solenoid starting to go bad 3, starter is worn out 4, bad ground.
