hot start problems
yeah after i drive my truck for about 5 miles, or until its nice and hot, after it sits for a few minutes and i go to start it up it takes like 10 times longer to crank over before it starts than usual... any suggestions?
Could be any of many things - fuel bypass regulator not holding well, vapor lock, fuel injectors leaking down, etc.
One trick I've been successful with is to roll the key to On, then let the fuel pump 2 second pre-charge cycle finish before rolling on to Start. Seems to start a little easier and more reliably than rolling the key straight to Start. Best of all, a cheap fix/patch.

Do you give it throttle when you start it? The idle air control valve was hanging up on my wifes car and it would only run when the engine was hot if you gave it throttle. I hear they can do all sorts of funky things when they start acting up.
sounds like the fuel is draining back do what wde said and put it to on for a few till you here the pump stop then try starting it see if that helps. . . its not strugling to crank meaning starter right so it cranks normaly just takes longer to kick so id asume the fuel put a gauge on it next time and see if it drains after sitting
