I’m putting things back together after replacing the valve cover gasket on my 1992 V6 F-150 Custom and found this hose (see pics) that needs replacing. I can’t find an exact type so I’ve got an all purpose to install. Can anyone tell me what this hose is used for?
Full photo of old worn out hose, it’s about 18” long This end has a larger opening and fits on the part near the radiator. Part near the radiator where the larger end of the hose attaches (on end of the long plastic tube near center off photo) Plastic tube where larger end of hose goes Worn out hose end Part where smaller end attaches
There was no V6 in these trucks. The 6-cylinder engine (4.9L) is an inline 6 (I6 or L6) engine. Read this page, collect ALL your truck's details, and put them into your signature:

The exact type is "Vapor/Emissions", but common low-pressure fuel line is easier to find, probably cheaper, and probably better. Do not use vacuum hose, coolant hose, silicone hose...
