Horrible Belt Squeaking!
Seems when I first take off and "Beth" isn't warm, she squeaks a lot. Not as bad when warm. Annoying and does this Ol' Ford no justice. It all started after I replaced a fraying belt. Any tips or suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks!

It's a Canadian thing eh!
Tensioner may be getting weak. If its bouncing around furiously while the engine is running thats a good indication its time to change it.

Drive like you stole it
Check to make sure all the accesories and pulleys spin freely, if you have a failing bearing the belt will slip on it and squeal, also check your fan clutch, mine squeaked bad in the cold.

This is what I did with my 94 when it squealed like yours.
- Take off the belt.
- Clean every pulley surface that the belt rides across with brake cleaner. Avoid spraying anywhere else.
- Clean the inside of the belt too.
- Use sandpaper to scruff the pulley surface
- Scruff the inside of the belt a bit too, try to remove some of
the glaze.
- If this doesn't work, repeat and replace with a goodyear gator belt.
