There is an adapter that goes inline with the harness for the lights, but the brakes you will most likely have to run a wire from the control to the plug in the back.

yah i seen there was a "T" like connector at the back by my new hitch that looked like it connected both the right and left taillights together then split off and went to my 4-way connector. the thing i cant/don't understand is up front my truck has a (6-pin i think) connector right below ashtray and i got a adapter that comes off that and runs 4 wires to the brake controller i got and all that connects fine....BUT does the truck come pre-wired so i can just tap the brake and lights wires together at the back OR do i have to disconnect the wire from the controller and run a whole new wire to the back for brakes and then another wire for the lights (accessory lights that is).

please help is need and i need this done before Thursday

If the truck is pre-wired for the towing you should have either a single 7 wire or a 4 and 3 wire plug beside the spare on the drivers side frame rail. You will need to either splice all these wires into a new plug and pull out the current adapter. Using the factory towing wires will eliminate the need for a heavy duty flasher when pulling large trailers with multiple bulbs. The factory towing will also give you the switched power lead for charging batteries on the trailer, break away or rv battery.
