Default Help with used tires

I currently have a 95 f 150, with 235/75/r15 tires on it. I want to upgrade, and i need new tires to pass inspection anyhow. I am planning to block it to lift it 2 inches, and then put 31's on it. However, i just came across a deal that someone i know offered me. 4 bfg all terrains 30/9.5/15. asking $75. the only thing with this is that 2 tires are 25% tread, one is 50%, and one is 75%. Not sure how that happened. I am considering buying them since they are so cheap, and they should last atleast a few thousand miles. My only issue is, can i mount them and balance them myself? what is yalls opinion on this? Thanks

a lot of people here mount their own, and there are ways of balancing them yourself.

Sounds like the two w/25% were on the front and the other two on the rear and he liked to peel out with the one that had 50%. If you have a 4x4, your in a predicament. That will put fairly significant difference in tire diameter from front to rear and from side to side depending on what the tread depth is. I'd measure the diameter of the tires and make sure there's not a significant difference. Just my 2 cents.

Id buy them and put the bald ones on the rear. I work at a dealer and right now we are doing a $20 mount and balance special. Yes, I mount and balance 4 tires for $20 and we are losing money on it so its a limited time deal but if you could find a local shop that has a deal anthing like that, you could be riding on them for around $100 total.
