Red face

its a 5 speed.code said to low this time.the idel changes constantly sometimes its 650 or 700 sometimes its 500 sometimes its 1100.sometimes it will do its normal warm up and go up to 1500 for a bit other times on warm up it will only go to 1000. i was guessing that is the iac. idel is smooth just changes rpm constantly most of the time its while driving it.at stop lights or what not.then sometimes it will idel fine.power comes and goes to.has a bad hesitation almost like its starving for fuel. runs great when cold but as soon as it starts warming up it starts missing and no power.the thermactor codes were not there on tuesday when i checked the codes but they were back today.

Have you clean & tested function your IAC.http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/?p=39

When talking Idle, mostly interested in warm idle only.

A EGR unable to return to it's fully closed position could cause the symptom too.

#34 O,R,C (ForV8/trucks only) EVAP control system fault/voltage higher than closed limit.

#34 O: means you're pooched out of the gate, even before the engine is running.

Four things can cause this:
1. The EGR valve is physically stuck. Unable to return to fully closed position.
2. The signal is being compromised (wiring)
3. Your Position sensor is defective.
4. Your Position sensor is incorrect (wrong one)

#13 Could be IAC &/or Vac problem &/or EGR unable to return to fully closed position (as manifold pressure attempts to stabilize, it sucks in additional air by the normally close at idle EGR valve).
#44 Could be Vac problem re: thermactors or thermactors themselves (Although they're pretty bullitproof as a rule).

the egr is the only part i have not changed myself.the guy i got the truck from replaced it so i am kinda leaning towards that and the position sensor.i have checked the vac lines and they dont appear to be leaking. he put the white position sensor on it im not sure witch one it is supposed to have.i noticed after i changed the egr solinoid that when i shut the engine off i get a humming sound now.sounds like air bleeding past a diaphram.not sure if its the solinoid or possably the fuel rails bleeding pressure off.

The fuel rail doesn't 'bleed off" per say. A few PSI over 5+ minutes. Even then the injectors are "normally closed" at this point in the game.

Your hearing something dissimilar to atmospheric pressure, equalizing.

Doubt it, but a good change a new IAC will take care of 13.

How do you know the injectors are leaking on drivers side only?
