Help Speaker Installation
I just Bought new Pioneer speakers for my doors..and need help installing them. I unhooked the harness from the stock speakers and it won't plug in on the new ones. it shows to hook the wires the speakers came with (I assume one positive, one negative) but I don't know where they go. If anyone has some pictures to help me out that would be awesome.. Thanks
First of all, did you order them from crutchfield? did you get an adapter to go from the factory harness to the new speakers? if not, you'll have to do a little cutting / soldering. I always just cut the factory harness off and solder on the clips that come with the speakers.
It's a Canadian thing eh!

I used modified male connectors to plug into the stock harness, don't like cutting factory wires unless I have to.

It looks like solid color wire is the positive and striped wire is negative. New radio wires and adapter harness all had same schemes. Speaker wires should be same. I cut off the truck's speaker plugs and spliced the wires, covering with heat shrink tube.
It looked like extra wires might get caught by my manual window gear, but looking toward the hinge (from inside) there is a hook where you can hang the wires.
