Sounds like coolant or air temp sensors. You should be able to read them on an old OBD1 scanner. Replace both and that should solve your problem. I'm thinking if it was a TPS problem it would be there in a warm state too.

I'd agree with that ^^^. TPS still should be adjusted though, or at least checked.

It could be coolant temps sensor,usually it will load up the plugs with fuel,it tells the ecm its -40 and dumps fuel,should see black smoke on start-up and plugs fouled with fuel,if iat,the sensor will be badly gummed up,a common problem on these trucks,if you pull it and the little sensor in center is orange,its clean,if its covered,it can`t read air temp properly.

I pulled the iat and it was very gummed up ..I bought one yesterday and im gonna install it along with a ect sensor and see what happens..

I just changed the engine coolant sensor and the air charge sensor and the engine still lopes and idles bad no mater if the engine is cold or the engine is warmed up...im not getting any cel and all I get is the 111 when I count the cel flashes...

ohh and for chits and giggles , I did a compression test ...(1) =165psi (2)=170psi (3)=175psi (4)-180psi (5)=180psi (6)180psi ..plugs look good and are gaped at 45...timing is set at 12deg btdc...as far as the TPS , I read the testing and adjusting on your page chris and mine don't look likes your and I cant see no way to adjust it...everything I have read says theres no adjustment ..

You have a strange one there. How are your distributor bushings? Do you have any side-to-side play in your rotor?

no side to side movement..im at a loss..i have read about similar problems like mine and I have tried them all..lol..im wondering if theres a problem with the computer ..I thought it might be a vacuum leak but dang if I can find any..
