Help with a motor swap!!!
Alright guys, or should i say Gods....
Here is the low down. I have a 1997 Ford F250 HD with a 351... i was driving the other day and i saw a ton of smoke behind me... i pulled over only to find Antifreeze spraying out of the cracked block

good old NYS and their salt... anyways i have a 1987 Ford F250 in the garage with a 351W... i was told the blocks are the same? just the top end is different... any input on this swap would be greatly appreciated
any tips to make this easier and go a little smoother would be great!
Thank you in advance.

are you sure? typically these blocks dont crack.. there are several in Lightnings running around making 5-700 hp or higher and dont crack..
chances are a freeze plug blew out..
but the 2 blocks your asking are the same other than the 97's block has a better camshaft and its a roller camshaft
