Default Help me Please?

Im working on my dads 1996 F150 and Im swapping from an auto to a manual. Is there anything on the column that I will have to plug in to override the overdrive? Is there anything to do with the pedals besides swapping them out? Please help me.

I think you will need a different ecu as well for the engine that should clear up that overdrive issue, but might also cause some more head aches due to the wiring harness is still there. its not as simple as just taking out the auto and putting the manual in.

Definatley have to swap EEC out. Will throw fault codes for not seeing shifts and stuff. If it was an older trucker without computer controlled tranny can swap trannies and be done. If you cant find a computer for a manual for a 96(OBD 2) then maybe able to custom tune. That way they can tune out all the auto functions.
