Default Help identifying a part

I have my airbag light blinking and ive determined it to be a blow thermal fuse in the blue box underneath my steering wheel. I dont solder so I cant fix it myself so my plan is to buy a whole new box and replace it. Problem is I cant figure out what it is called so I have no clue what to search for. Thanks for your help.

Have you looked for a technical diagram with an exploded view? I wish that I could ID the part, but if I were in your shoes that's what I would do.

I hope it helps

The internal fuse is not serviceable. And as soon as you plug in your new 100$ airbag module the fuse will blow again because there is a short in the air bag deployment circuit. The module detects the short and blows the fuse so the airbag doesn't blow up on you for no reason. You have to find the short first before replacing the module.

It will be called either the Airbag module or Airbag diagnostic monitor.

its the airbag module. Do you have any advice for locating the short? what should I be looking for? and where? The only electrical work I have ever done on my truck was updated speakers.

Does the module flash any other code? It can usually identify where the short is unless its an intermittent short.
