Default Help! How do you take gauge cluster dash out??

Ok guys I need to know how to take this black part of the dash off.

Also does anyone know what's behind the push buttons?

If I cut the left part out is there something behind it?? Because I have an idea for something cool but I'm not sure if it will work. Any help is appreciated.

There needs to be a sticky on this. You pop the two black strips off under the vent and 4x4 selector. There is two torqes bits that are T-15 I think. Then just pop it off once the screws are out. Also remove the light ****. Then disconnect the 4x4 switch wires. And there is nothing on that side.

Thanks for the help I figured those came off but I didn't want to break anything. So how does the light **** come off?

You pull it out all the way like you would turn it on. Rotate the **** until you see a slot. Then take a small flathead screw driver and push the tab and pull on the ****. It pulls right off.

Thanks for the help! I got it off and I'm going to cut the square out to the left of the 4wd button and put a backup camera monitor mounted behind the dash.

The monitor is on a boat coming from China so it might take a little while till I get it. There was only 1 monitor that would fit.

Theres a few ribs and mostly wide open space behind that side of the panel, nothing important, and nothing a dremel won't move, my idea was a gauge pod/switch panel there.

Mdf board and bondo ftw.
