Default Help with Engine Control Module

Hey everyone, I recently decided to remove and rebuild the engine on my 92 F150 5.0, and decided to do a lot of updating. As I was tearing everything apart, I wanted to go through my entire wiring harness and clean it up, so I bought the Haynes manual and also did some research online, but have some issues. Every wiring diagram I’ve read has colors and PIN numbers that don’t match mine. For example, Pin 1 and 2 on the diagrams is always listed as yellow and light green, yet in my ecm pin 1 is grey/yellow and pin 2 is white and orange. The only thing I can think of is that the guys that originally built my truck for mudding used some random harness, but i looked through all the other engine wiring diagrams in my manual and none of those matched either. None of the pins match my wire colors, and the only wire colors that have matched so far are my TPS wires. If anyone has any clue what I’m doing wrong or any ideas, I would greatly appreciate.

Haynes manuals are notoriously inaccurate
You need a Ford PCED and a Ford EVTM for your particular truck
Ford lists processor pinout charts for every motor and trans combo made
Haynes has one or two charts at a maximum (wrong in many cases)
You listed a 92 5.0; I might have the PCED page you need, I will look
Is it a stick shift, or an E4OD?
