Default help clutch?????

My slave cylinder went out on my truck a couple of days ago and I just got around too replacing it. I put the new one in and put it back together but now I can't get the clutch pedal too be firm after bleeding it countless amount of times. And when I will bleed it no air will come out.

Takes time keep pumping it not fast but slowly like you were shifting not slamming the clutch in. It can take 10mins

Do you have a 5 speed? I had to replace mine last spring and it is inside the bell housing, unlike the 4 speed where it is external and would only take 30 minutes or less to change. The internal one is self bleeding so you shouldn't have to pump it like bleeding brakes.

Yeah, you have to take the transmission out just to change it. PITA! Mine busted last winter when it snowed 20" here in Tulsa. Thankfully I had another truck...

I ain't no expert but I've replace three clutches with all new stuff in my 96 f150 a Mazda b3000 on 42s and a suzuki samurai on 38s all had internal slave cylinders except the samurai. To bleed the clutch back to a firm push me and who ever was helping me took the cap of the clutch reservoir under the hood and took the plunger out. Next someone was under the truck opening and closing the bleeding valve. Pump three to five times with it open, then three to five times with it closed. Keep adding fluid ti the resovoir throughout thd entire process. After about 10 minutes or so fill it up and put the cap on tight. Then close the bleeding valve and keep on till it firms up. Also the truck needs to be running the entire time throughout the process.
