Default Help!

I have a 1990 F150. I switched out the 6 cyl for a 5.0 302. The problem i have is finding the right computer for this engine and transmission. I bought a wrecked 1991 and took the 302 and AOD metric tranny out and put in the 1990 truck. The problem is someone had taken the PCM out of the 1991 truck. Can not find a 1991 PCM with an AOD Metric.
My question is will any other PCM work? Have found plenty of AOT PCMs. I think this tranny is older than the engine. Can anyone help?

They are all mertic, its just to id the trans, is it a pushbuton od? What is wrong with your old trans? If your old trans was ok you just could have bolted that to your 302, then all you would need was the engine harness, and I am pretty sure any ecu for a 302 around those years should work, Ford had basically 3 od transes, an AOD which is all mechanical, aode\4r70w which basically has an electronic lockup converter, and the e4od which has the pushbutton on the shifter and is electronically controlled.

A lot of Ford ECU's out of an 8 cylinder that's MAP w/ an AOD will work. But I think a warranted refurbished ECU is only about $125.
