Help with 89 f150 codes
Ok i checked my codes today and I got 34 and 54:
34 EGR Valve Position sensor signal voltage out of range. Connection at the EVP sensor is bad, the sensor is faulty, or the EGR valve is not seating properly
54 Air Charge Temperature (ACT) sensor voltage is too high
Ok heres my issue , I just changed EGR valve and sensor so i dont understand the problem with that code and IF i just replace the ACT will that fix that code?

As far as the EGR valve - could have an issue with the control solenoid, located on the intake manifold, driver-side rear - just trace the vacuum tubing back from the EGR valve. Also may have a problem with the vacuum lines - they tend to get brittle with age.
May want to double check that you got the right sensor - IIRC, there were two available back when I had the pleasurable experience of dallying around with this - a grey and a white, er, or something like that.
As far as the ACT code - if the wiring looks good and the connector is seated firmly - no clips have backed out - replacement would be my next guess. Not sure if there's a check-out procedure one can do as far as measuring voltages or resistances.
