Default Help!!!

Hi. I’ve got a 1994 f150 5.0 LXT. Lately it’s been stalling and not starting. There have been three times now where I’ll be driving and the truck will lose power and regain power along with the entire engine just completely shutting off while I’m in drive and not starting back up again. I’ve had to tow it home once and now it died when I pulled into a parking spot at work. Started up briefly after I let it sit for a bit but died immediately. I replaced the battery, added a new ground wire connecting from the battery to the alternator, replaced the alternator itself, replaced both fuel pumps plus filter. I don’t know what the issue is. I am completely stumped!

When's the last time that 30 year old truck had a tune up? Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter to name a few could all contribute to yer symptoms...

Good Luck with it

I bought this truck in January 2024. Spark plugs are new spark plug wires are new fuel filter is new so is the air filter, so many things I can list off. Re did the wiring. What else is there to replace besides sensors? I’m slowly making my way through that.

Pull the computer and check for leaking capacitors.

Like the above post mentions
The processor should be checked for the common leaking capacitor issue
When you say the truck won't turn on for you to check the spark
That means it will not crank?
All you need to check the spark is to crank it over
